Submission Day!

Hi Everyone!

It's submission day for the 3 Towers Elevation Challenge! You will send in your floors climbed from Monday, July 20th until July 26th (yesterday).

Just a reminder, if you do not submit anything for 2 weeks, you will be ELIMINATED from the group and the team. Also, our team will miss out on bonuses if not everyone submits.

Please reach out if you have questions about how to submit your elevation!

Everyone, remind your team members to submit their elevation. We only have about half of our numbers in at this point. Let's get that bonus!

Week 3 Results

Hi Everyone,

Week 3 submissions are tallied up. The poster in the fitness centre is updated, and you may also see exact numbers below:

With the amount of submissions from participants, we were able to reach the 75m bonus again, BUT we only missed the 100m bonus by ONE PERSON. Please everyone remember to send in your elevation stats, because that one person cost us 25m on our total!

We remain in second place, but the race is just beginning. We can still certainly catch up if we put in a solid effort for the rest of the competition. In the last update, I gave the range of numbers that we're seeing in submissions, and asked everyone to strive for a minimum of 100 floors climbed for the week. Some of you sent in massive improved numbers, but almost half the team is still under 100 floors per week. Realistically,…

Week 2 Results

Hi Everyone,

Week 2 submissions are tallied up! You can come check out the poster representation to see how we're doing next to the other buildings inside the fitness centre, and I will also include the exact numbers from our tracker here.

Current standings:

Once again, our team is doing a great job at submitting elevation stats on time. We were able to get our 75% participation bonus of an extra 75m again!

We are still in second place. The building in first place has a handful of big contributors, but I still believe we can catch up. Now that we have 2 weeks worth of numbers, its easier to have context for what kind of numbers to strive for. Anything below 100 floors is on the lower end of contributions, and our highest submission was close to 600 floors for the week. Other facilities' top number I've seen was…

Week 1 Results

Hey Everyone,

Week 1 submissions are in! You can come check out the poster representation to see how we're doing next to the other buildings inside the fitness centre, and I will also include the exact numbers from our tracker here.

Here are the results:

I want to congratulate the team for having the highest percentage of participants sending in their stats yesterday. We got the 75% participation bonus, which means our total includes that 75m bonus. Just a reminder that we need 100% participation to get the 100m bonus.

We are currently in second place. We really need to...STEP it UP to win this challenge. This includes me as well! What do we think about a "Stairs Club"? We can meet at the fitness centre and go up and down the stairs in the building. This will give us each 18 floors to add to our stats, and could…

How to Submit your Elevation

When submitting your elevation stats from the week, you will need to submit a new form every Monday. The first submission will be due on July 6th, based on your elevation stats from July 1 - 5. The next submission will be due July 13th, based on your elevation stats from July 6 - 12, and will continue for a total of 9 weeks until the end of August.

Most wearable fitness trackers and apps such as google health (fitbit) and Apple Health will give you stats on your "floors climbed". A screenshot of this stat from your app is what we are looking for. Stairmaster machines and incline treadmill will not show up on those stats, so these efforts need to be submitted separately by sending photos of your end screen from that machine. Please specify in your submission if you are submitting your elevation in meters or floors…

Welcome to the 101ST Tower Team!

We will be competing against 103 Street Centre, and National Bank Centre facilities! Each tower will compete to climb an elevation of 10,000m, as represented on your respective building (see poster in the entrance of each fitness centre). The team to reach the top of their own tower the most times throughout July and August will be the winner!

THE WINNING PRIZE:

The winning tower (team participants) will receive a prize pack of items and gift cards to share with a total value of $2000! Read the rules to understand our best chance of being the winning team. Consistently submit your floors climbed every week (full team participation means big bonuses).

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Every MONDAY, submit your previous week's elevation stats HERE. You will need to include photos or screenshots from your fitness tracker of your floors climbed. Elevation will be calculated by using the "Floors" stat from any wearable fitness tracker or fitness app you use on your phone. We will be using the conversion of 1 floor = 3m. The team's progress will be calculated based on the average meters climbed each week.

*Stairmaster and incline treadmill workouts do not show up as elevation on fitness trackers, so these efforts will need to be submitted as photos of your end screen to be added to your weekly total.

WEEKLY BONUS STRUCTURE:

Bonus meters will be added to your team total to reward higher percentages of participation.

Over 50% of the team makes submissions = +50 meters

Over 75% of the team makes submissions = +75 meters

100% of the team makes submissions = +100 meters

ELIMINATION RULES:

Team members who miss 2 weeks of submissions will be ELIMINATED from the team. Your name will simply be removed from the group, and you will no longer be included if Team 101 wins the big prize!

*let me know if you are going on vacation in an out of service area to make arrangements to submit those weeks when you return.
